Patio Storage
Storage space is at a premium for most of us – watering cans, compost buckets, wellington boots etc. Garages and sheds only accept a certain amount of essential clutter, and sometimes they aren’t a convenient distance from the back door. So, what are the options?
Specific storage for specific things
A set of new shelves isn’t much help for a full-size table-tennis table, but sometimes you have to think big. We have seen a marked increase in sales of bike-stores which customers often secure with bolts to an adjoining wall.
Log Stores are popular but aren’t considered with Patio Storage because of tannin leaking from logs stacked next to nice clean patio-slabs.
Bench seats
What could be better, combined seating and storage for soft furnishings – blankets and cushions. Care will have to be taken with storing items outdoors with the UK weather, but the attraction of eating and sitting outdoors is there for all to see.
Consideration should be given to storage and materials used. Metal storage sheds and boxes tend to suffer with condensation, wooden sheds need to be waterproofed approx.. once a year so they don’t transmit water from the external surfaces to internal items.
Patio storage
Finally, there are some items that deserve to live just outside the back door – yard brushes for autumn leaves, waterproof slip-on shoes and a trusty waterproof coat. The Rowlinson Mini-Store comes to mind, a handy storage unit that can be painted/stained to complement the exterior décor.
