This Beckwood Pressure Treated 4x6 Apex Shed is one of their most compact shiplap sheds. Similar to other sheds in the Beckwood range this garden shed has a traditional sturdy design and features 1 fixed glazed windows. Designed to withstand the elements, the shed can store anything from a simple spade to bikes, fishing equipment or outward -bound gear. The shed's improved modular design features smaller sections, and same size panels are interchangeable.
The shed is made using robust, interlocking, weather-beating pressure treated shiplap cladding throughout, giving it a watertight seal. This shiplap cladding is 12mm, the timber is mixed softwood and the total weight of the shed is approximately 138kg.
Supported by 30%-thicker framing than found on most wooden sheds, this 4x6 shed is constructed to last. The pressure treatment used means the Manufacturer is able to offer this shed with a 25-year anti-rot guarantee, reducing maintenance to a minimum with no further preservative treatment required. Most other sheds (that haven’t been pressure treated) require pressure treatment every year thereafter. Depending on storage requirements you may want to apply a wax or oil water preventative on a yearly basis. The shed colour is a natural timber finish.
Most shed floors use the popular OSB (Oriented Strand Board), but this 4x6 shed features an extra-thick interlocking 12mm. tongue and groove floor allowing for the storage of heavier items. The roof of this apex shed is made from hardwearing 8mm solid sheet, finished with a durable, quality mineral felt cover for weatherproof protection.
This 4x6 shed’s door features a double-Z frame, which provides strength and minimises door movement. Security is enhanced with hidden hinges and a heavy duty, traditional pad bolt to keep valuable items safe (padlock not included). What’s more, the single door can be fitted with a left or right-hand opening – the choice is yours. Door size is 1692mm high x 582mm wide. Door security is secured via a pad bolt – no padlock provided
The Shed has 3mm acrylic glazing, which is more secure than traditional glass and does not yellow or fade over time. There is one fixed window and the glazing size is 577mm x 575mm
