Timber Posts

75mm and 100mm sawn posts

All of our timber fence posts are pressure-treated with preservatives to protect against fungal and insect attacks.  If a higher level of protection is required then  incised posts are recommended.  These incised posts receive deeper penetration of preservatives, and they backed up by their Manufacturer’s 15-year Warranty. 

Posts for field and driveway gates

Both timber driveway gates and field gates need a hanging post, usually 2.4 metres. Our stocked sawn posts are 125mm, 150mm, 175mm and 200mm square and incised for a longer service life. As a rule of thumb, the bigger the gate the bigger the hanging post required. Smaller 3ft. and 4ft. gates are usually matched with a 125mm square post. Large sections, long posts

Cross sections for longer posts include 150mm square (3.6m and 4.8m) and 200mm square (3.6m and 4.8m). These are standard pressure treated posts, longer service life can be achieved by using the Wrap ’n’ Tack Postsaver

Planed, smooth posts for decks and designer panels.

In addition to sawn timber posts, we also stock ex.100mm square, smooth planed “newel” posts at 1.25m, 1.8m and 2.4 metre lengths.  Longer lengths, usually 2.4m/3.6m (ex. 70mm) and 3.6m/4.8m (ex. 100mm) smooth planed are available from stock. These timber fence posts are popular for designer fence panels and elevated decks.
