Softwood Balustrading

We sell a variety of timber balustrade components, all are pressure treated for external use. Balustrading components include tanalised handrails, spindles, base rails, fillet and decking newel posts. These products are sourced from the same manufacturer and they also supply our dual profile softwood deckboards, smooth decking and anti-slip boards as well.

Decking Newel Posts

Three different lengths of smooth planed posts are kept in stock.  Machined from redwood pine these decking newel posts have a beaded and chamfered finish at the top of the post.  

Longer sections of ex-100mm pine are also stocked at 3.6m and 4.8 metres in length.  

Hand Rails and Base Rails

Our handrails, and base rails are 3.6 metres in length and they are rebated to accept 41m fillet. The decking handrail has a pronounced round top profile which makes it more comfortable to the hand.  However, the base rail features a flatter profile - it also doubles up as a wine-glass holder.

Spindles and Fillets

Matching 41mm softwood spindles are available in straight lengths of 900mm and 1100mm.  Please note that any decks 600mm, or higher, above ground level should use 1100mm spindles to comply with building regulations.

Smooth-planed timber balustrade fillet is supplied in 3.3 metre lengths of 12mm x 41mm. You can then cut this to length to fit snugly between the machined spindles. This can then be cut to length on site.

All these timber balustrade decking products are planed smooth, corners are rounded for ease of handling.. Contact us now
