Softwood
Softwood decking is still popular, particularly the Premier 125mm dual profile. This board is complemented by a non-slip Premier decking that uses Gripsure anti-slip technology. When, the smooth 125mm, smooth 100mm, and “Trade” deckboards are considered there is a choice of five treated softwood decking boards.
Dual Profile Decking Boards our Premier ex.38mm x ex.125mm
Firstly, our Premier decking boards are machined from kiln-dried redwood. Board size is approximately 32mm x 122mm, before pressure treatment with next-generation Tanalith preservative. The whole manufacturing process has been approved by Arxada and they provide a 15-Year Manufacturer’s Treated-Right Warranty on these deckboards.
Grit Strip Decking Boards
The Grit-Strip deck boards are Premier decking blanks fitted with two non-slip infills of resin/aggregate. These low-slip boards are popular on walkways, ramps, balconies, and steps that might be exposed to heavy foot traffic.
Smooth Redwood Deckboards
We stock two smooth widths of softwood decking. The wider (122mm) boards complement our Premier and Grip-Strip boards. They can be used together on deck structures to emphasise changes in deck levels. The narrower (94mm) width decking boards are often used for small decking areas or balconies. Another option would be our “trade” deck boards, 122mm wide, which also feature one smooth face.
Finally, remember our softwood decking selection is enhanced by a range of newel posts, spindles, balustrading, and tanalised planed timbers. These are supplied from the same Manufacturer which enhances the uniformity of the products.
