Flexible Edging

One of the key benefits of composite decking is the possibility of incorporating curved edges to the deck design. Millboard have devised their Millboard decking system to include fascia support and flexible edging to make curved decking a reality. Both the bullnose flexible edging and the square edge composite flexible edging are key products. As well as providing a professional finish both edgings have a greater elastane wear layer which improves the low-slip rating properties.

Flexible edging types

Millboard are renowned for their attention to detail with composite decking flexible edging. They produce a bullnose flexible edging and a square composite flexible edging, both edging types are 50mm x 32mm in 2.4 metre lengths. All colours are available but note that the edgings for Driftwood & Smoked Oak use the same edgings because these colours are almost identical. Similarly, both Embered and Burnt Cedar edgings are black in colour and share the same edgings. Millboard Touch-Up coating is also available for sealing any cross-cut boards.

Millboard Plas-Pro Fascia Support is suppled in 3.0 metre length and form a vital part of the installation. The maximum radius that can be achieved is 1.2 metres.

A professional finish

Attention to detail and Millboard quality products help achieve a professional finish. Millboard’s “How to build a curved deck with Millboard products” is a thorough YouTube presentation on a typical install. Millboard’s composite decking flexible edging, and how it relates to other Millboard products, is another useful guide.
