Composite Decking Screws

These are designed to securely fasten your composite deckboards to the underlying joists in the deck sub-frame. Correct spacings and the specific stainless steel fixings should prevent warping, bowing or loosening during the service life of the deck.  

Millboard supply Durafix Lost Head Stainless screws for decking and fascia. They are almost invisible when driven carefully through the unique outer Lastene layer. When driven to the correct depth the Lastene closes almost all the way back up. Armour Deck screws are still stainless steel, but they are supplied with colour heads to match the corresponding deckboard. 

Composite Decking Fixings

There are numerous decking fixings for composite deck products. Staying with the colour theme Millboard supply produce a Touch-Up Coating which can be purchased to match the deckboard colour. This is a cut end treatment for remedial work, it is not intended for face treatment.  

NewTechWood produce “repair kits”for their decks, they are described as Ultrashield Scratch Repair Kits.  

Other fixings tend to be very specific to manufacturer’s brands, particularly with installation. NewTechWood produce metal starter clips (TC5 & MG3) standard clips (TC2) and locking clips (TC1)which secure the deckboards and also take into account contraction/expansion movements.
