Tanalised TGV
Tanalised timber, also known as pressure-treated timber, is less susceptible to deterioration by weathering, as well as insects and fungi. Tanalised timber is treated with a chemical that protects the entire piece of wood, rather than other wood preservatives that merely cover the outside surfaces. This makes it ideal for a range of outdoor uses.
Our preferred TGV timber cladding is machined from redwood pine sourced from Scandinavia. At Southern Timber, we offer several TGV boards machined from high-quality timber, providing durability and aesthetic appeal.
Pressure-treated timber is highly durable, and depending on the location of your structure, could last up to 30 years. However, it is still recommended to regularly coat the wood with a preservative to further prolong its life. Whether you are looking for tanalised timber for fencing, cladding, shed building, or more, Southern Timber has the best products for the job.
The standard TGV cladding is machined from ex.16m x 100mm and finishes at 11 mm x 94mm. Which are used in bedrooms, kitchens, reception areas, and similar areas where the product might experience some more use. These TGV boards will take some wear and tear.
TGV cladding is normally secured with invisible fixings, i.e. a panel pin on every batten to give a uniform impression. Traditional TGV cladding adds character and charm to a wide range of properties.
