A Buyers Guide to Bin-Storage
Buyers Guide to Bin Storage
Where exactly do bin-stores fit into the garden? We all like to make use of the garden, keep it tidy and organised. But refuse bins can upset the best of plans with a bit of help from foxes, dogs and gulls. So, front garden or back garden, why not make the best of some timber, or plastic, storage solutions?
There’s a garden storage option for you. We have a range of wooden bin stores in various sizes and styles in either Dip or Pressure Treated finished plus a great range of Plastic Storage options
Timber bin stores and storage solutions.
There are several bin-stores available to choose from, your selection depending on how many bins you want to hide. All three bin stores will accommodate standard wheelie bins of maximum size 1060mm high by 740m wide and 740mm deep. Each bin has a corresponding lifting lid with chain. Lift the wooden lid on you bin-store and the plastic lid will lift with it.
The styling on each is the same with hit-and-miss horizontal slats. These are more contemporary in styling. All the timber used in construction is pressure treated against rot. This will fade to grey over time, the timbers will also absorb moisture under wet conditions.
Single Bin Store (BINSML1) accommodates a single wheelie bin and when assembled it is 1300mm high. This is an external height, the width is 800mm and the depth 820mm. Once again these are external measurements. Height includes roof overhang.
The Double Bin Store (BINLRG1) accommodates two standard single wheelie bins and when assembled tis 1300mm high. This is an external height. This wooden bin store has a width is 1560mm and depth 820mm. Once again these are external measurements. Height includes roof overhang.
The Triple Bins Store (BINTRPL1) will store three standard single wheelie bins and when assembled it is 1300mm high. This is an external height. This wooden bin store has a width is 2305mm and depth 820mm. Once again these are external measurements. Height includes roof overhang.
In addition to these three bin-stores we stock the Apex Double Bin Store (BINLRGA2) This Apex model accommodates two standard single wheelie bins and when assembled tis 1300mm high. This is an external height. This wooden bin store has a width of 1535mm and depth 810mm. Once again these are external measurements. The overall height includes roof overhang. The footprint of the Apex Double is 1400mm width and 745mm in depth. Once again the bin-lid lift with the Bin Store lid. Styling is more traditional.
And finally, the Wooden Box Store (BINBOX2) is very similar in styling to the Single/Double/Triple Bins Stores. Most details are the same but the Box Store has two height adjustable shelves. The store is not intended for wheelie bins but will accept items up to approx.. 1300mm, 730mm width and 820mm depth.
Looking after your Garden Bin Stores
These bin-stores are all pressure treated to help protect the timber against decay and fungal attack. The pressure treated timber will start as a lightish brown but will fade over the months to a grey colour which is perfectly normal.
Colours can be maintained and enhanced where required by using the range of Osmo, Ronseal or similar wood stains or paint. If you choose a paint type finish then please ensure it is a microporous finish so that the timber can breathe. Whichever wood treatment you purchase please ensure it is for planed, not sawn, timber.
Plastic bin stores and storage solutions
Ina ddition to the timber storage bins we can also supply two "plastic" units. The Large Garden Storage Unit will accomodate approx. 840 litre of garden tools and eqpt. Alternatively they will accept two small recycle bins. There is also a 1200 litre version of this storage unit, the Extra Large Garden Storage Unit
