The minimum pitch for the roof is 10 degrees with a recommended counter batten spacing of 400mm. A set of Instructions for roof design is included in the Gutta nail boxes. These fitting instructions can also be downloaded in Adobe Acrobat pdf format on this page. Allow 30 nails per roofing sheet plus 11 per ridge. Also available from stock are the Gutta profile foam fillers which help to prevent rain being driven under the corrugated profile. When using foam fillers please allow for some air flow within the building so that moist air doesn’t remain within the building and cause condensation. We also stock flexible Gutta ridges which measure 420mm from one metal cleated edge to the other.
The Gutta bitumen sheets are easy to cut by using an older saw with medium or coarse teeth because in warm weather the saw teeth will clog a little with the bitumen. When fixing the sheets ensure the side with a satin finish faces upwards and the matt side down. These Guttapral corrugated roofing sheets and the black or green, fit into most garden settings.
